Democracy

EUFed – European Federation – Europäische Föderation is a political party that offers an additional democratic option for all citizens in the country and throughout Europe. Anyone who lives here and shares the values we stand for can take part in this project free of charge. Our goal is to participate in elections at all levels, from the local community to the European Union.

Europe

Politically, Europe is fragmented into roughly 50 countries, about half of which are represented in the European Union. There are currently ten candidate countries, some of which have been negotiating the terms of accession with the European Union for more than 20 years. However, the path to a united Europe must be exactly the opposite. Every European region is warmly ❤️ invited to join immediately, and any necessary harmonizations will be implemented afterwards. The goal is a borderless Europe that takes its destiny into its own hands.

Population

Naturally, there are regions with 3.000, 300.000 or even 30,000.000 inhabitants. Population size and density are key factors for the majority of public buildings and virtually all infrastructure. Similarly, people’s quality of life is significantly influenced by the regional population. For this essential foundation, citizens - both as those directly affected and as democratic decision-makers - must be asked the following question: “How many people 🙋‍♀️ should live permanently in this region?” Based on this, long-term planning takes place, ranging from kindergartens to senior centers and from roads to utility lines. And the population can be assured that future generations will also be able to live in an environment that the vast majority considers satisfactory.

Water is Life

If something costs nothing, it’s worth nothing. That’s exactly how we treat our drinking water, because the price for water is only a fraction of the charge for wastewater disposal. There are just a few other products that are far cheaper to obtain than to dispose of. Some still refer to oil as liquid gold, but clean drinking water 🚰 will take over that status - the question is not if, but when. It is unacceptable that precious drinking water is wasted on car washes or toilet flushing, and that pools are filled en masse every spring, while our farmers, who produce valuable food, are faced with dried-up wells. The irrigation of golf courses, tennis courts, and sports fields also needs to be completely rethought. We still have a choice: Either we use the resource of clean water 💧 sustainably, or we will learn the bitter lesson of drying-up springs.

Basic Income

There must be a constitutional right to a basic amount that covers daily necessities. Every citizen is part of our society based on solidarity and receives guaranteed social security without any stigma if their personal income is too low. In return, of course, all corresponding benefits - from subsidies to pensions and from grants to alimony - must be abolished. Providing basic support to all citizens fosters a tolerant society and considerates coexistence. The goal, of course, is European harmonization to support all regions in a uniform and fair manner.

National Debt

Every newborn in this country comes into the world burdened with approximately € 46.000,-- in public debt. In 1990, the national debt stood at just under € 80 billion. Now we spend that amount on pensions alone, and the total debt has more than quintupled. Almost € 9 billion must be raised annually just for interest payments. How many meaningful measures for the benefit of all citizens could be implemented with this money 💶? No one is thinking about reducing the debt anyway; on the contrary, living on credit has, in some ways, become a social model. But this global house of cards will eventually collapse, and then we - or our children - will have to start over from scratch with very little.

Weapons Ban

Why are private citizens allowed to own guns? The vast majority of violent crimes are committed with the use of firearms. How much fear, suffering, grief, and anxiety could our society spare itself if gun ownership were simply banned? Of course, any ordinary household item can be used as a weapon, which is why a ban could be modeled after the regulations governing counterfeit money, under which possession or use is a criminal offense. The number of crimes and the associated economic costs would decrease significantly. Living in freedom also means trusting our peace-loving ✌️ fellow citizens, and it is precisely this fundamental attitude that should be the defining characteristic of our society.

Professional Army

Who flies airplanes? Pilots, because they’ve been trained and know how. Who repairs water damage? Plumbers, because they’ve been trained and know how. Who do we send to the front lines? Conscripts, even though they haven’t been trained and will die immediately. Our entire social system is designed around professionalism, but when it comes to the bare fact of life, we forgo proper training and routine. Professional soldiers safeguard citizens’ freedom and must be absolute professionals through training, continuing education, and practical experience in various regions. Additionally, they should be deployed in all types of disaster relief operations, since they are among the best at managing emergency and crisis situations. We do not need conscripts, but motivated individuals with meaningful tasks.
